"Gettou" (月桃 "moon peach", shell ginger) as its name suggests, is deeply connected to the phases of the moon, and is said to have the abilities of "detoxification" and "regeneration." During a full moon, the plant's sap rises and concentrates in the stems, leaves, and flowers. Harvesting and distilling gettou at this time results in a more fragrant and nutrient-rich extract. "Gettou" is a plant from the ginger family that grows abundantly in subtropical regions, including Okinawa Prefecture. The gettou used in this product is cultivated on JAS-certified organic farmland in Okinawa and has also received international organic certification. Gettou distillate is a 100% pure extract made using a unique method to squeeze the flowers, leaves, stems, and seeds of the gettou plant without adding any water, alcohol, preservatives, or other additives.

Gettou is said to contain approximately 34 times the polyphenols found in red wine. These plant-derived polyphenols prevent skin oxidation by suppressing reactive oxygen species that damage the skin, thereby reducing cellular damage and preventing aging. Additionally, the fragrance varies depending on the timing and season of harvest, allowing you to enjoy the changes in scent.
